EPIPHONE SG PROPHECY TIGER BLUE

The Epiphone Prophecy SG brings high-performance features to one of the most classic guitars of all time. First released in 1961, the SG was designed as a slimmer Les Paul. It soon found favor with countless guitar slingers in the late ’60s and early ’70s. The Prophecy builds on this legacy and runs with it.

The mahogany body is topped with a 1/2″ maple cap and beautiful AAA flame maple veneer. Finished with a thin coat of Aged Vintage Gloss, the wood will “breathe” and age gracefully. Epiphone outfitted the Prophecy SG with a SlimTaper mahogany neck. Its asymmetrical profile follows the contour of your hand for instant comfort. The ebony fretboard has 24 jumbo frets; block and triangle pearloid/abalone inlays make this SG the king of cool.

The Prophecy employs a pair of proprietary Fishman Fluence pickups that are hum and noise free, making this an ideal recording guitar. Three voicing options can be selected with push/pull pots: modern active high gain/high output humbucker, coil tap for classic PAF-style humbucker, and coil split for California-style slightly overwound single-coil sounds. This is one versatile instrument.

Other features include brushed nickel hardware, LockTone tune-o-matic bridge, stopbar tailpiece and locking Grover Rotomatic tuners.
