Josef Holpuch was born in the Ukraine, August 25th 1934. Came to Luby at the age of 15 to study under Josef Potzl at the Cremona apprentice school. After graduation he continued his studies with Potzl at the post graduate master school. Here he also studied under Josef Vavra – master violin maker with many international accolades and decorated with a state order. He graduated in 1954. Holpuch’s instruments follow Stradivari and Guarner models.
Includes a hard-shell case with hydrometer and Certificate of Authenticity from the builder. Made in the Czech Republic.
