About the Author:
Hildegunn Johansen is a professional accordionist of considerable renown in Scandinavia. She comes from Trondheim, Norway. Hildegunn is a composer, arranger, and recorded musician. She plays classical, popular and folk music. Fluent in both Norwegian, English, and German, Hildegunn was educated in music at the Music Conservatory and at the University of Trondheim. Subsequently, she has written an excellent book about the accordion (Trekkspill is the title of this Norwegian book). She is currently teaching at a music/culture schoolin Trondheim. In addition, she conducts two accordion orchestras in Trondheim, one of which has recorded cassettes and a CD.
