- Customer Reviews (0)
An Heirloom Banjo – The Texas Banjo commemorates the 150th year anniversary of Texas’ independence from Mexico. Only 151 Texas banjos will be made, each with a serial number representing one of the years between 1836 and 1986. You can choose, from remaining numbers, a year that has meaning in your life for your distinctive number. The Texas banjo is designed and marketed by Tony Ullrich of Houston.
We hand craft it in our Custom Shop – a one of a kind treasure, 24-Karat gold plated. It’s an investment in your musical heritage that can enjoyed and passed along. It can carry the love of music and heritage of Texas to inspire new generations.

The Texas has a smaller air chamber than the Golden Era or the Tenbrooks banjos which gives it a very responsive poppy sound with excellent note separation. Made of Walnut, the Texas banjo has the bright sound of maple combined with the sweet tone of mahogany. It is the best of both worlds. The banjo plays string to string and up the neck at a consistent clarity and volume.
