Schiller Field Series Marching Tuba
After 40 years of being out of the drum corps activity, I decided to participate in a reunion corps this Spring. I wanted to purchase an instrument, but didn't want to shell out $6000+ for a King or Yamaha and I didn't want an instrument that would be too big for me to fill with air or to be able to carry.

I decided to try the Schiller BBb Marching Tuba. The staff was helpful in answering questions so I took the plunge.

The instrument arrived in two days! It was extremely well packed and it was obvious someone had thoroughly inspected the instrument. It was in perfect condition. It included slide grease, valve oil, a pair of marching gloves, a microfiber cloth and a mouthpiece (It felt like a Bach 18).

I haven't played in a long time, but I felt the sound was deep and sonorous, much better than the horns I played in the 70's.

The tuba is incredibly well constructed. It is nicely reinforced and feels and plays like a real professional instrument.

Please be aware, this listing says that it has a 20" bell. It is 16" which is in keeping with the overall size and bore of the instrument. Also, discuss and understand the return policy with your salesperson.

The case is nicely constructed and has huge wheels making it easy to move the horn around.

I could not be happier with this tuba! Now off to practice...
